Playschool fAQ'S

We know that choosing a school for you child can be overwhelming. Here are a few common questions.

  •    What will my child learn?

Our focus includes play as well as guided activities. Children are encouraged to embrace their natural curiosity and inquisitiveness while building relationships with others. Through play, children can learn a wide range of concepts and skills that contribute to their emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development.

  •  How old does my child need to be?

We run both a 3 year old and a 4 year old class. If your child is going to be entering kindergarten in the following Sept they can enter the 4 year old class.

  • What are my class options?

We offer a M/W 3YO English AM class and a M/W 4YO English PM class.

We also offer a T/Th 3 YO French Am Class and a T/Th 4YO French PM Class.

  • Does my child need to be potty trained?

We do require our students to be potty trained but we understand that accidents happen, you can send along an extra change of clothes for us to use.

  • Do you go on field trips?

We do! We are very lucky to have a fire station right beside us and a spray park within walking distance. We also often welcome guests into the classroom to enrich the program.

  • Is fundraising mandatory?

We  ask that all members try to support the organized  fundraisers, however, since monthly  tuition fees are set to meet  operating costs, it is not mandatory.  Generally there are a few  fundraising  events held per  year.  The funds go toward providing new  toys, field  trips and improvements to the school's supplies and equipment. We are lucky to have recieved a casino for 2020 and 2021 so we will be asking for parental volunteers when we have a date.

Examples  of fundraisers:
Scholastic  Books (a percentage goes back into the school)
         Pointsetisa and Whoville Trees

        Liquor Basket Raffle
